Giant Toop Loop, 2001
The collaborative project commenced with a seemingly straightforward inquiry: "What is the maximum length of a tape loop we can create?" To be honest, the initial impetus for this endeavor remains shrouded in mystery. In partnership with Aaron Hibbs, we embarked on a sonic exploration, each of us manipulating the audio recordings we had captured of the repeated act of hurling a desk from a rooftop. Our tools were diverse: tape machines, audio tape, sewing bobbins, hooks, and amplifiers.Â
